The Free zone has more than 300 businesses according to the Tourism Ministry of Belize. Corozal Free Zone is strategically located in the border of Mexico and Belize.

This area is located 10 minutes away from Chetumal, capital of the Quitana Roo state, and has other important cities close like Cancun, Merida, Yucatan, Campeche and Tabasco; and the Riviera Maya at less than one hour drive.

This great location allows us to reach to a permanent population of 4.6 million people and up to 14 million tourists per year.

Tourism from Mexican Resorts:

The south of Mexico is next to the border with Belize, on the Quintana Roo State. It comprises the Mayan Riviera and the Yucatan Peninsula, historical tourism base for All-Inclusive international hotels, Cruise ports, etc.

This area is located in Chetumal, the mexican city that borders the Belizean Corozal Free Trade Zone, several people from Mexico get their products from the Free Zone for commercial purposes; and it also receives the traffic that the caribbean resorts in the Riviera Maya and the Cancun area receive, which is more than 1.4 million people yearly only in the Quintana Roo State.
